Inis Meáin - Mac Donncha's cottage, now known as "Teach Synge" or Synge's House where John Millington Synge stayed a number of times between 1898 and 1901 while writing his book 'The Aran Islands'. The rye thatch is meticulously tied down to protect against Atlantic gales.
